Step One: Eat healthy. Lower your intake of fats and processed sugar, increase fruits, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains. Cut out carbonated drinks. Drink plenty of water and lower sodium intake to decrease water retention.
Step two: Exercise to burn off more calories than you are consuming. If you can't get to the gym, walk around the block, do shoulder presses and bicep curls with canned corn, get a jumprope and do that in the house. I know you won't have a lot of time or energy with a new baby, but every little bit helps, even if it's a half hour a day.
Of course need to control your diet and also do some exercise every day. Drink more plain water also.
